The World Cup winner is the main character in the ad. He shows off his famous skills on a beach in front of amazed fans. When Messi gets to a bar, he asks for a Michelob Ultra beer, but the tap breaks and he can’t get it.

The bartender in the ad then asks him if he’d like a different beer, but the 36-year-old man says, “No, no, Michelob Ultra.”

Fans were shocked when they saw Messi in the ad, and some pointed out that he didn’t seem eager to speak English.

Someone tweeted: “Messi’s utter refusal to force out even a ‘hello’ and do a Superbowl ad in pure Rosarino Spanish is just awe-inspiring.”Someone else said: “He’s determined never to speak a non-Spanish word in public and I respect the hell out of that.”

A third wrote: “Lionel Messi’s Super Bowl ad with Jason Sudeikis and Dan Marino is simply PERFECT.”

The Mail says that the Michelob Ultra Super Bowl ad cost about £11 million to make.

It also has Sudekis, who played Ted Lasso and joked that he and Messi “go way back.”Another big name is Marino, who is in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Since he joined Inter Miami last summer, Messi has become a big star in the US.

Since moving to the MLS team, the forward has scored 11 goals in 14 games.
