They also showed off the Epic X Chrono Messi watch, which was the first watch they made together with Messi. Now, to celebrate this partnership, the brand is releasing two new models in the line. One of them is a diamond-baguette-set model that costs $150,000.
Messi is a nine-time winner of the Spanish soccer league and an Olympic gold medalist. He also holds more than a dozen other major titles and wins. So, Jacob Arabo, founder of Jacob & Co., wanted to make a truly unique watch that would look great and have all the latest technology. This is because the two companies are going to work together on watches for three years.
The Epic X Chrono Messi watches are all 47 mm across and have the unique self-winding Jacob & Co. JCAA05 skeleton column-wheel bi-compax chronograph movement, which has two numbers. The movement has 260 parts, 27 jewels, and a power backup of 48 hours.Along with Messi’s number “10” in red on the dramatic blue dial, the watches also have a stylized “M” at 6 o’clock on the face. Messi has also signed the back of the blue sapphire crystal case.
The watch is perfect for a sports star like Messi because it can withstand shocks and is waterproof up to 200 meters. The blue clock and white hands are meant to look like the flag of Messi’s home country, Argentina.
The first one was made of Grade 5 Titanium and had a white ceramic bezel and pushers. The chronograph features had red rubber crowns. There are 61 parts to the case itself. There are only 180 being made, and each one costs $28,000.
Jacob & Co. has now added an Epic X Chrono Rose Gold model to their line. It has an 18-karat 5N rose gold and titanium case with gold pushers that are covered in white rubber and white rubber crowns. It costs $46,000 to buy.
The brand also comes out with the Epic X Chrono Baguette watch. This model’s case is made of 18-karat white gold and titanium, and it is carefully set with 36 baguette-cut diamonds that weigh 4.55 carats. It has red rubber all around and white ceramic pushers on the ends. The horns are blue rubber. It costs $150,000 to buy. There are only 36 being made. Each watch has a unique white open-worked rubber strap that makes it stand out.
